As for me, rooms were nice with a window looking to gran via, they offered wake-up service.

Great location. "Gran Via" metro station is right outside of the hotel. The major sights are all within walking distance. very quiet and secure. tighly controlled by the local police and patrols. Plenty of heating in winter time, I set the temperature at 27 and just so comfortable. Staff all speak English and are very helpful.

I liked almost everything! It was definitely a good surprise to find a simple yet very pleasant hotel in the city center, with a low price per night, achieving an excellent value for money! furthermore, the room was well decorated, very confortable large double bed, with large ceilings, enourmous windows, air-conditioning, low-noise both inside the room nor from the street, large bathroom (with large shower, no bathtub wich is ok), and a balconny facing Gran Via! This room (206) could be a suite in many 4 stars hotels! The common areas from the hotel (lounge, reception, dinning room) are confortable and well decorated. I will certainly return on my next visit to Madrid. I recommend for anyone who enjoys the simple things in life.
Alerts: - The lounge and room floors are separated by a common stairway of the building (access requires magnetic card) - No concierge at the main entrance (street), so not the safest hotel. - No breakfast available, but many breakfast options just outside. Down sides: - Prostitution occurs in Gran Via, but this fact did not affected in any way our stay, it is simply not good image for the city. Police was always present, one feels safe in Madrid. - The public parking is a 5 min walk away and is just next to the police station, so very safe, also the price per day is quite reasonable, but it is hard to drive to Plaza del Carmen to leave the car. True negative remarks: - None

Location is perfect. Room are comfy, beautiful, spacious. Excellent value. We were there with our baby and they provided us with a baby cot.
I had a room facing the a pedestrian street. The curtains were not tick enough, at night, there was way to much light in the room. It almost felt like daylight!
